You deserve to feel like yourself again.
Evidence-based counselling for adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions — virtual or in-person in Burnaby & Langley.
If any of this sounds familiar…
You don't need to have it all figured out before you call. Most people come to therapy feeling exactly like this — uncertain, exhausted, and quietly hoping someone can help.
“You wake up already exhausted”
“You replay conversations in your head”
“You've been putting everyone else first for so long”
“Something happened that you haven't been able to shake”
“Nothing dramatic happened — and that almost makes it harder”
“You know something needs to change, but you don't know where to start”
Where can I help?
Every person's situation is different. Sessions are tailored to you — not a script.
EMDR & Trauma Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is Gurpreet's primary specialization. It's an evidence-based therapy that helps your nervous system process traumatic memories — without having to relive every detail. Whether you're dealing with a single incident or years of accumulated pain, EMDR works at the level where trauma actually lives: the body and the nervous system.
“Many clients experience relief they didn't think was possible.”

Therapeutic approaches
Hi, I'm Gurpreet.
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor with offices in Burnaby and Langley, BC, and I've built my practice around one belief: therapy works best when you feel genuinely safe.
I trained at Simon Fraser University and completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I'm an EMDR-trained therapist and I draw from CBT, ACT, and Emotion-Focused Therapy — but more than any framework, I lead with curiosity, warmth, and a real commitment to meeting you where you are.
I work with adults across all of life's challenges: anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, identity, and the quieter struggles that don't have easy names.
You deserve a counsellor who will sit with you — not just at you.

Couples Counselling
Things people often ask.
Don't see your question? Reach out directly — I'm happy to answer anything before you commit to anything.
The first session is about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping to work on, and what feels important to you. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — we'll move at your pace.
Yes. Virtual sessions are available for anyone in BC via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person — and more convenient.
Sessions are 50 minutes. How often you attend depends on your goals and needs — most clients start weekly, then adjust as they progress. We'll discuss what makes sense for you.
Many extended health plans cover Registered Clinical Counsellors. I'd recommend checking with your provider directly. I can provide receipts for reimbursement.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma, PTSD, and distressing memories. It doesn't require you to talk through every detail of what happened. We'll discuss whether it's a good fit during the consultation.
That's completely normal. The free 15-minute consultation is specifically designed for this — no commitment, no pressure. You can ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide in your own time.
You don't have to keep managing this alone.
The hardest part is often just reaching out. If you're ready — or even just curious — I'd love to hear from you. The first consultation is free, brief, and completely no-pressure.
